My main goal is to become an expert in selling ideas. Whether that’s through my free time as a comedian and coach, or my profession as both an international marketing specialist and writer/editor, I am perfecting the skill of selling an idea through storytelling and structured thinking.
Over the past the three and a half years in Shanghai, I have written for many international publications on China, developed research reports such as WPP’s Annual BrandZ Report, as well as editing English language internal and external corporate content for many agencies and brands, including Weber Shandwick, GSK, and Abbott. I am also on the House Team for improv at Kongfu Komedy Club, and previously been Content Marketing Manager and Editor-in-Chief at MYSA as well as Brand Manager for Summergate Fine Wines.
Having traveled to over 40 countries and lived in Europe and Asia, I have developed a strong understanding of globalization and differing cultures. Whether traveling to both sides of the DMZ or visiting Occupy Wall Street campsites across Europe during the movement, I understand the intricacies of the global economy.
Working in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, I have developed skills in international marketing. My experience prior to China includes working in brand strategy in New York for Prophet Brand Strategy as well as researching nation branding as a Fulbright Scholar in Luxembourg. I am also a Magna Cum Laude graduate of The George Washington University, where I double majored in International Affairs and Economics. I have written for Forbes.com, VentureBeat, and EDGE and was also the Research & Editorial Director for Vivek Wadhwa‘s book: Innovating Women: The Changing Face of Technology.
